Welcome to Parke House Academy Music.

Our basic philosophy is that everyone is musical and musically talented. It just takes patience and exploration to find the aspect of music that each student will enjoy and succeed in. All students are encouraged to find their own voice in music. We are looking for the catalyst that will make music enjoyable so that the students will want to spend time playing and studying music.

We have a wide variety of musical instruments for the students to play: a piano, a classical guitar, melodicas, glockenspiel. boom whackers and a wide variety of percussion instruments. 

We also have a Macintosh computer to teach musical notation in finale and song writing in GarageBand.

There is an emphasis on general music knowledge and all students will learn to read music. The students will also be learning about Classical, Jazz, Rock, Blues, and Pop music, as well as the music of all the major world civilizations.

Each year all the students attend a performance by the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra.  The students participate in a school-wide Broadway Musical each year. There are other opportunities throughout the year when students get to showcase their musical achievements.
